A man in his 30s entered his car when he was shot. According to the police, a suspect involved in fatal daylight shooting in the west-end of Toronto was “lying in wait” for the victim.
The emergency crews were called to the area of St. Clair Avenue West and St. Clarens Avenue, near Lansdowne Avenue around 11:40 AM after receiving multiple reports of a shooting.
Based on the statement by the police, a man believed to be in his 30s had just entered his car when someone approached him and opened fire. After the incident, citizens pulled the victim out and performed CPR until the arrival of the paramedics. Despite life-saving measures performed by the officers, the man was declared dead at the scene.
The shooter appears to have been “lying in wait” inside a vehicle before firing several rounds and then fleeing the site in a vehicle.
