We proudly feature workplace approved re-certification courses. These courses are designed for participants that need to renew expiring certificates. Candidates must meet the required prerequisites prior to registering for a re-certification course (requirements are stated below). Certificates obtained from a re-certification course are of equal value to certificates receive from a full course. workplace approved renewal courses meet Health Canada standards and meet government and legislative requirements for first aid and CPR training. Kelowna First Aid proudly offers the lowest prices for renewals and re-certifications and offers the largest amount and variety of courses (at least two re-certification courses per week). To be eligible for a re-certification course candidates must meet several simple requirements. Candidates must have completed a renewal / re-cert course or a full course within the past 3 years. The course must have been completed in Canada as international certificates are not valid in Canada. Participants must have complete the previous course with a credible provider such as St Mark James Training, Lifesaving Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation. If candidates do not meet all of these requirements he or she must re-take the full course.
The length of time for each re-certification course varies on the level of certification, the candidates in the course and ultimately the instructor. Re-certification courses vary in length from 3 to 8 hours depending on the type of course.
Available Workplace Approved Re-Certification Courses:
The following workplace approved awards are available for re-certification. Awards not mentioned below are not available for re-certification and candidates must re-take the course:
- Standard First Aid, CPR and AED – Standard First Aid Re-certs cost 89.99 and take 6 to 8 hours to complete.
- CPR level “C” for Health Care Providers (CPR “HCP”) and AED. – CPR “HCP” re-certs cost 50 dollars and take 4 hours to complete.
- CPR level “C” and AED. – CPR level “C” re-certs cost 48 dollars and take 3 to 4 hours to complete.
Workplace Approved Re-Certification Award
Candidates that successfully complete the course will receive a workplace approved certificate that is valid for 3 years. This wallet sized award meet Health Canada and other legislative and workplace standards. Certificate is nationally accredited and is valid throughout Canada. Candidates can opt for a lager “wall mount” certificate for a small additional cost (1.00 dollar).
