Upper Canada Village reopened partially to the public on July 1 with strict guidelines in effect including physical distancing and wearing of face masks.
The park has worked with the local health unit on the physical distancing. There were a lot of families that came through and they need more than 6 feet. With this in mind, they are given a 20-foot physical distancing space once they arrive.
The lines are marked on the ground to keep visitors separated indoors and out. All visitors should wear a face mask every time they are in a building. Masks are required in the Discovery Centre and in any of the historic homes.
Normally, the visitors are given a guide map and they can tour the village on their own. This year, it is different. The park offers guided tours to visitors in groups of around 10 to 12.
