A victim of a shooting incident was given CPR. A man was taken to a healthcare facility after shots were fired outside a nightclub at Poison Pier. Many people flee the site after multiple gunshots occurred in a parking lot outside the club right before 9 PM.
Prompt intervention
After officers searched the site, they located shell casings in the parking lot. The officers performed CPR on the man before he was loaded into the police vehicle and transported to a healthcare facility. According to the police, the injuries of the man are no longer life-threatening.
According to the witnesses, it was a chaotic scene after the shots rang out. Families were sitting by the water, taking photos, and enjoying the sunset and suddenly, several shots were fired from the parking lot. At first, people thought that someone was lighting up firecrackers. People started yelling from the parking lot and vehicles backing into each other to stay away. Everybody laid flat on the ground and waited.
The police are still canvassing for witnesses and appealing for anyone who witnessed the shooting to speak with the investigators.
