A man who was stabbed on a B.C. basketball court received CPR. The deadly incident occurred in an elementary playground in Kamloops, B.C.
Unforeseen ordeal
According to RCMP Staff Sgt. Grant Learned, the friend was searching for a bathroom when he returned to find the victim bleeding on the ground at Stuart Wood Elementary.
The bystanders on the scene performed CPR on the victim but he was later declared dead upon arrival at the Royal Inland Hospital. The victim was believed to be a Vancouver man in his mid-20s visiting relatives in Kamloops.
A dog team searched the area for evidence and any suspects and the area was cordoned off to pedestrians. There are no arrests made in the stabbing incident. According to Learned, the police hope to schedule an autopsy to confirm the root cause of death.
