Young girl given CPR after drowning incident

A young girl was found unconscious at a private residence. The ambulance technicians were requested to report to a pool at a private residence on Chevremont Blvd.

According to Bob Lamle, a division chief with the Urgences Sante, the girl which is believed to be between 4-5 years old was given treatment at the scene. The mother was also transported to a healthcare facility for treatment for shock.

Water incident

According to Andre Leclerc, a spokesperson for the Montreal police who helped with the operation, the girl was transported to a healthcare facility after receiving CPR on the scene. The girl had a heartbeat and breathing on her own, but she is still under monitoring. The incident was initially reported to the emergency services.

The incident is currently under investigation according to Leclerc but he added that it clearly was an accident.
