CPR was performed on two men who did not have vital signs after pulled out from a motel pool. The incident occurred at a motel in Scarborough.
Watery ordeal
The emergency crews were dispatched to the Grand Motel located near Kingston Road and West Hill Drive for a possible drowning.
The officers who were the first to arrive on the scene quickly jumped into the pool and pulled out the victims. CPR was quickly started until the arrival of the paramedics who took over the resuscitation efforts.
According to witnesses, the two males went into the water and they came back around 10 minutes after and they were at the bottom of the pool unresponsive. Both men did not have vital signs but when CPR was started, their pulses were restored at the scene. They were rushed to a healthcare facility via emergency run and remain in critical condition.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and using an automated external defibrillator (AED) can save a life. Prompt delivery of life-saving techniques improves the chances of survival during emergencies.
