The victim of a snowmobile crash was given CPR. The incident involving Jeffrey Lindsay was a sergeant with the 1st Canadian Ranger Patrol Group in Yellowknife.
Lindsay, 46-years old was from Brantford, Ontario, and father of twin 12-year-old boys. According to Lt. Col. Tim Halfkenny, commanding officer of the 1st Canadian Ranger Patrol Group, he was a knowledgeable ranger and a great man. Before joining the rangers in Yellowknife, Lindsay served as an artillery soldier in Afghanistan.
Danger while on the slopes
It was on Saturday when Lindsay’s snowmobile struck a snow-covered rock near Reid Lake which is around 60 km northeast of Yellowknife. The police performed CPR but Lindsay was declared dead at the scene.
Prompt delivery of CPR
Immediate delivery of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) can save a life. Although the life-saving procedure will not always yield a positive outcome, it can improve the chances of survival until the emergency team takes over the scene.
