The quick action of a pub employee in Saskatoon after a bleeding man stumbled into a bar saved his life.
The Saskatoon police responded to a call about a man suffering multiple stab wounds. The man reached the Colonial Pub and Grill from Cumberland Park across the street. The man’s clothes were drenched in blood and she saw blood coming from several areas on his chest and shoulder.
The police and paramedics arrived shortly after. In a news release, the man was in a hospital and in stable condition.
After the man was taken from the bar, a forensic officer stopped her and acknowledged her quick action likely saved the man’s life. A police spokesperson stated that they appreciate any efforts that citizens feel comfortable taking in providing first aid care until first responders arrive.
