Surrey cyclist given CPR after hit by SUV

A Surrey cyclist received CPR after struck by SUV. A cyclist succumbed to his injuries after being hit by a sports utility vehicle in Surrey.

Danger on the road

According to RCMP, a Ford Escape was driving near 108th Ave. and 142nd St. when it struck a man on his bicycle. The victim was thrown from his bike and seriously injured. The paramedics at the scene performed CPR but he later died of his injuries in a healthcare facility.

The Mounties stated that the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Speed and alcohol do not seem to be involved in the collision which severely damaged the front-end of the vehicle.
