Masks now part of school reopening plan

The Saskatchewan government added mandatory face masks to its plan to reopen schools in a few weeks, but school divisions can choose to opt-out.

The province announced that face masks will be mandatory for students in Grade 4 to Grade 12 in high-traffic areas like hallways and on buses, as part of Level 2 of its back-to-school strategy. It will be up to the province’s 27 school divisions to decide if they want to begin the school year in September at Level 2.
