“The Office” TV show was a big help
When a woman went into cardiac arrest, she must thank the show when a nearby mechanic performed CPR that he learned while watching the show.
Cross Scott was test driving a vehicle by a customer when he saw a white sedan with its hazard lights on and slowly rolling forward. When he drove by, he saw a woman slumped over the steering wheel. He pulled in front of the sedan and used a rock to bang the window to wake the woman. He later broke the window using a rock. He did not have his phone so he couldn’t call 911 but eventually another woman pulled over and called for help.
The 21-year old mechanic reclined the car seat of the woman, leaned over her and perform chest compressions which he learned while watching “The Office”. Within a minute, the woman started to breathe. Upon arrival of the paramedics, they told Scott that he saved her life.
