A 28-year old man received CPR after being trapped underneath a vehicle that crashed into a water-filled ditch.
Dangerous crash
Just before 1 AM, the RCMP was called to Dogwood Avenue near 232nd Street in Maple Ridge. A vehicle had driven into a water-filled ditch, trapping the man underneath the vehicle.
The police stated that the man remained trapped until the firefighters were able to use airbags to lift the vehicle and rescue him. The paramedics were later seen performing CPR inside an ambulance.
The cause of the crash is not clear and an investigation is ongoing. The driver of the vehicle, a 29-year old Maple Ridge man and a female passenger were not seriously injured in the accident.
