Man in cardiac arrest saved by quick delivery of CPR by coworkers

A heartbeat of a man is restored due to the rapid action of his co-workers. According to the Ottawa paramedics, the man in his 50s was given a shock while working on an underground fuel pumping equipment.

The man went into cardiac arrest but his co-workers were able to turn the flow of events and bring him up to the surface. His co-workers promptly initiated CPR until the arrival of the firefighters and paramedics 2 minutes later to continue with the defibrillation.

Bystander action

According to the Ottawa paramedics, the resuscitation effort was a successful one and spontaneous circulation was restored. The timely actions of the co-workers of the man were vital during the incident.
