A 28-year old hiker went into cardiac arrest while hiking. The incident occurred near Norvan Falls in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park. The man was airlifted out of the area in critical condition according to North Shore Rescue.
The victim was crossing a creek when he slipped and fell, hitting his head which put him in cardiac arrest. The hiking partner of the man ran seven kilometers out for help since there was no cell phone reception in their location.
The North Shore Rescue received a call from help around 6 PM and used a helicopter to locate the victim. He was rescued with a long line after emergency responders attached an automatic CPR device on him.
