Due to the latest data in which there is an increasing trend in the cases of COVID-19 among children, it is considered alarming. The increase in the number of cases among children can be blamed on the gatherings occurring all over the holidays.

According to the Chief Medical Officer of Health of Ontario, the order to close schools can be tough for many, it is a necessary step that is tough for everyone.

The major school boards in Ottawa are reaching out to the school community to inform them of the recent changes. Additionally, the face-to-face classes will continue for the special education programs at both the Ottawa Carleton district school board and Catholic school board.
