Three Boston Pizza employees in Edmonton saved the life of a customer with CPR. A 78-year old man was alone in the restaurant on Calgary Trail when he went into cardiac arrest. His wife was outside waiting for their daughter to arrive.
It was at that point when the owner of Boston Pizza jumped into action, grabbing the defibrillator of the restaurant. He shared that timing is everything so they knew that they should act quickly. It was not just the defibrillator but also having CPR training greatly helped in the situation.
The workers were able to restart his heart before the arrival of the emergency crews. According to the owner of Boston Pizza, the incident is an opportunity to recommend lifesaving training for others since you will never know when you will need it.
