Emergency First Aid Course Duration
The duration of an emergency first aid, CPR and AED course will depend on the quantity and skill level of the students and the level of CPR training partnered with the course. Emergency 1st aid and CPR classes vary around eight to ten hours. This time is does not take into account breaks and recesses. This first aid course is commonly done within one entire day but we also provide this course on two consecutive week-nights (typically Monday and Tuesday nights).
Emergency First Aid and CPR Class Price
The price of an emergency first aid training course is dependent on the type of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training partnered with the course (the higher the level the more expensive). The following is the list of prices for emergency first aid and CPR training.

All of the lessons include automated external defibrillator (AED) education. You will receive the emergency first aid certificate immediately upon completion of the program.
Emergency First Aid Course Content
Emergency first aid, CPR and AED features the most general first aid and CPR emergencies that can take place. Written below is a short description of the class content of an emergency first-aid course:
- Basic CPR for adult subjects (CPR “C” features CPR for child and infant patients). This includes compression only CPR and a variety of scene assessment components.
- Respiratory system emergencies such as choking, asthma, anaphlyaxis, hyperventilation and shock.
- Cardiovascular system emergencies such as internal bleeding, external bleeding, heart attacks, angina, stroke and transient iscemic attacks (TIA).
- Skeletal Injuries such as broken bones, fractures and dislocations.
These particular subject areas will be covered in great detail in a emergency 1st aid and CPR class. Candidates will learn these skills through a “hands on” approach while practising on mannequins and volunteers.
Applicants that complete emergency first-aid will receive a wallet sized card indicating successful completion of the program. You may also request for a larger certificate. The certificate also states education in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) plus the use of AED’s.
Participants that need to renew emergency first aid may be eligible for a re-certification lesson.
