We proudly offer emergency first aid training in Kelowna, B.C.. This course is designed to introduce rescuers to managing and recognizing basic emergencies. Individuals participating in this CPR and first aid class will also be taught fundamental CPR skills such as artificial respiration and chest compression’s. Students that complete the class will get a workplace and academic approved first aid certificate that states the level of CPR and AED training received. This course is offered on weekdays, weekends and on some week-night’s You will be able to select the level of CPR training to partner with the course once you begin your registration.
Emergency First Aid Course Duration
The length of an emergency first aid, CPR and AED course will depend on the quantity and skill level of the students and the level of CPR training partnered with the course. Participants should expect to attend a minimum of 7 hours of class time. This time is does not take into account breaks and recesses. This first aid course is commonly done within one day but we also provide this course on two consecutive week-nights (typically Monday and Tuesday nights). Emergency First Aid and CPR Class Price
The cost of an emergency first aid, CPR and AED course is 84.99. Participants can select one of the following CPR level’s to partner with the course:
- CPR level “A” – CPR for adult rescues only
- CPR level “C” – CPR for victims of all ages
- CPR level “HCP” – also known as CPR level “C” for health care providers. This includes CPR level “C” with additional health care provider components.
Emergency First Aid Course Content
Participants enrolled in emergency first aid will learn about the following components:
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Removal of Gloves
- Airway, Breathing and Circulation (ABC’s)
- Emergency scene management
- Fainting and Shock
- Choking rescues
- Heart Attacks
- Impaled objects
Applicants that complete the emergency first aid skills components and written test will receive a wallet sized card indicating successful completion of the program. You may also request for a larger certificate. The certificate also states education in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) plus the use of AED’s.
Participants that need to renew emergency first aid may be eligible for a re-certification lesson. Re-certifications are for participants that have been given an emergency first aid certificate and would like to replace certification.
