We proudly offer workplace approved stand-alone cardiopulmonary resuscitation courses. These courses are designed for participants that require only CPR certification (no first aid certification or training included). These courses also include training and certification in the use of automated external defibrillators (AED). All courses meet Health Canada guidelines and legislative regulations. The techniques taught in this program are provided by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) which is the governing body on first aid and CPR standards for North America. Candidates have the opportunity of selecting from a variety of different CPR level’s with each advanced level encompassing the curriculum of the lower level(s) (example: CPR level “C” includes CPR level “A”). Registration can be done quickly and conveniently through our on-line registration system or you can call or email us using the contact information presented throughout this website. Courses, dates and times are available at several times throughout the week including on week-nights (Monday nights).
Different Level’s of CPR Courses:
Candidates have the opportunity of registering for a number of different CPR level’s. The following is a list of the available level’s through the workplace approved:
- CPR level “A” – This is the most basic CPR level that teaches candidates CPR knowledge and skill for adult and child patients. This is a 4 hour course. No re-certifications are available for this program.
- CPR level “C” – This course encompasses all of the criteria taught in CPR level “A” but adds additional knowledge and skill for infant patients. This is a 5 hour course.
- CPR level “C” for health care providers (CPR “HCP”) – This course encompasses all of the criteria in CPR level “A” and “C” and includes additional training with advanced equipment, spinal injury patients and trained backup. Candidates will learn to use advanced equipment such as bag-valve masks and practise CPR with two rescuers.
CPR Course Costs:
The cost of these courses depends on the level. CPR level “A” costs 50 dollars, CPR level “C” costs 60 dollars and CPR “HCP” costs 65 dollars. All fees are flat fees with no hidden rates. Fees include workplace approved certification costs, CPR manual and taxes. Private program fees vary depending on the number of participants and your location. Workplace Approved CPR Certification:
Candidates that successfully complete the CPR program will receive a workplace approved CPR and AED certificate identifying the level of CPR awarded. This certificate meets government and legislative standards and is valid for 3 years. Certificates are nationally accredited and valid throughout Canada. Re-certification courses are available for CPR level “C” and “HCP” for candidates that are looking to renew expired or expiring awards.

No Pressure Policy:
Kelowna First Aid understands that people learn at different speeds and in a variety of different methods. If you do not complete the course the first time you are eligible to re-take the course again at no extra cost.
Refunds and Cancellations:
Refunds and transfers are not accepted for any CPR Course within 72 hours of the course. Prior to that time candidates can receive a full refund or transfer to any other CPR course.
