Victim of a gunshot wound at Alberta tournament given first aid care

A golfer ended up with a gunshot wound to his leg while participating in a tournament in northwestern Alberta.

According to RCMP, the man was playing south of Grande Prairie on Saturday afternoon when he ended up with a wound on his leg.

A witness brought him to a healthcare facility where he was given emergency care and later released.

The police checked the golf course and discovered that there was an organized competition at the place at a nearby shooting range at the time of the tournament.
