The police immediately provided first aid to the man in his 20’s.

Furthermore the ASIRT stated that the operation of the man on the stolen car exposes the first officer to high risk of immediate death or severe body harm. The officer missed being crushed between the stolen car and two stationary vehicles on the way as the man suddenly reversed the car while fleeing away from the officers. But the officer was dragged along with the car. The officer was immediately provided first aid by fellow officers.

Executive Director of ASIRT, Susan Hughson determined that there was no reasonable ground, reasonable suspicion or evidence that either of the two officers commit a criminal code offence. These officers were lawfully placed and the force they applied on the victim was reasonable in the incident. Furthermore she stated that the two officers will not be charged.

The ASIRT investigates two other officers who kicked and punched the victim after he was shot. These officers declined to provide any word about the incident. A video captured from a patrol car shows an officer pulling a man from the car and in the process the officer fell backward. His companion came to his aid. When the man was on the ground, one officer gave the man three closed fist punches and another officer gave five kicks to the man who was already shot. Paramedics arrived in the area and provided first aid to the man and brought him to the hospital for further treatment.
