Pedestrian given CPR after struck by bus

A pedestrian received CPR after hit by a bus. The Ottawa Paramedics stated that a man died after being hit by an OC Transpo Bus.

Road accident

The incident occurred on Russell Rd. near Southvale Cres. Just before 8 AM. The paramedics initially stated that he was in critical condition, but later confirmed he died at the scene.

The bystanders performed CPR and attempted to aggressively resuscitate the male who was in cardiac arrest. The city stated that OC Transpo is working with the police on this investigation.

OC Transpo is collaborating with the Ottawa Police Service’s investigation. The OC Transpo will also conduct an internal investigation.

Police interviewed several witnesses at the scene. An investigation is ongoing.
