N95 masks on the way for Canada after 3M reaches a deal

The Trump White House ordered 3M to stop shipping masks to Canada. As one of America’s biggest manufacturers of medical face masks, 3M forged an agreement with the White House that allows the company to provide millions of its N95 respirators to the U.S. market without sacrificing supply bound for the north of the border.

3M which is based in Minnesota has been at the center of a clash with President Donald Trump and his administration over the reluctance of the company to follow orders to prioritize American demand for the masks. The company has confirmed plans to continue to fill orders in Canada and Latin America.

The plan will also allow 3M to continue shipping the U.S. made respirators to Canada and Latin America where 3M is the main source of supply.

According to 3M, the company and the U.S. government worked together to ensure that the plan does not result in further humanitarian implications for countries currently fighting COVID-19. The plan will also allow 3M to continue shipping the U.S. made respirators to Canada and Latin America where 3M is the main source of supply.
