The neighbors contacted the police after hearing a loud bang. The electricity was cut off right after the impact with the Hydro pole.

A Surete du Quebec officer was the first to arrive on the scene. He jumped into the murky river where the vehicle was submerged in 4 feet of water. He broke the window on the driver’s side but cannot find the driver.

The SQ officer attempting to rescue the woman had to go back due to the cold. He was later under treatment for hypothermia.
