Prerequisites for Standard First Aid Recertification Courses in Vancouver:
To be eligible for a Standard First Aid Recertification, candidates must:
- Have completed a full or recertification course within the past 3 years.
- Present a valid certification card from a credible provider, such as St. John Ambulance, the Red Cross, St. Mark James Training, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, or SAFE First Aid.
Important Note:
- Expired certification cards will not be accepted.
- Candidates who fail to present a valid card at the start of the class will not receive a recertification card.
Recertification Prerequisites
Candidates must meet the following prerequisites prior to registering for a standard first aid recertification class:
- The previous certificate must have been issued by a credible Canadian provider such as St Mark James Training, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, or St. Johns Ambulance. If the certificate was issued through another provider please contact us to determine if the certificate is acceptable.
- The previous certificate must have been issued within the past 3 years. If the certificate is older than 3 years the candidates must retake the course.

Please remember to bring previous standard first aid certification award to show to your instructor.
Course Details
The cost of the course is 89.99. This fee includes workplace-approved certification fees and taxes. The length of the course is approximately 8 hours as mandated by provincial regulations. 100% attendance is required to successfully pass this course.
Certification for Standard First Aid Renewal Course in Kelowna BC
Once candidates complete the skills component and multiple choice exam they will receive a standard first aid and CPR certificate that is valid for 3 years. This course comes standard with CPR level C recertification. You can also re-certify standard first aid with CPR level HCP. Refunds and Transfers
Refunds are not accepted within 72 hours of the original course. Transfers are charged $25.00 if requested within 72 hours of the course. Prior to 72 hours, participants can receive a full refund of the original course or transfer to another date at no extra cost. There are no refunds for rescheduled events.
