Health Care Provider CPR (CPR HCP), also known as Basic Life Support (BLS), is the most advanced and comprehensive CPR training available. If you’ve previously earned this certification, you can renew it through Kelowna First Aid.

This CPR HCP / BLS Recertification Course focuses on renewing your CPR HCP and AED certification only — it does not include First Aid recertification. However, if you need to renew both, you can easily combine this course with Standard First Aid recertification through our Standard First Aid Recertification page.

Prerequisites 

To be eligible for the St. Mark James Training CPR HCP / BLS Recertification Course through Kelowna First Aid, participants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Valid Certification: Candidates must have completed their previous CPR HCP certification course within Canada through a recognized provider. Accepted providers include St. Mark James Training, Red Cross, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and the Lifesaving Society.
  2. Recency of Certification: The previous CPR HCP certification must have been issued within the past three years.

Important: If these prerequisites are not met, candidates must retake the full CPR HCP certification course in Kelowna. 100% attendance is required to pass the recertification course.

Additional Note:
Please bring your previous CPR HCP certification award to show your instructor on the day of the course.

Certification

Successful participants will receive a St. Mark James Training CPR HCP / BLS Certificate. This certification is valid for one year and meets academic, workplace, and government standards.

Refunds and Transfers

  • Within 72 Hours: Refunds are not available within 72 hours of the course. Rescheduling requests within this period are subject to a $25.00 fee.
  • Prior to 72 Hours: Participants can reschedule or receive a full refund at no extra cost.
  • Rescheduled Events: Refunds are not available for rescheduled events.
