Kelowna First Aid
Kelowna First Aid is the premier provider of Red Cross first aid and CPR courses in Kelowna. We offer the lowest prices and have convenient locations and simple, secure and comfortable registration. Every year millions of people die from cardiac related diseases in which a quick acting and well trained CPR provider can make the difference between life and death. In first aid and CPR courses participants will learn basic techniques and skills to address almost any first aid emergency. Our instructors follow the highest CPR standards provided by International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) which ensures that our candidates learn the most effective CPR techniques available. Different Courses Available:
At Kelowna First Aid we offer a variety of different first aid and CPR courses for participants to register for. Courses range in length from 3 hours to 18 hours. All courses include training in automated external defibrillators (AED). AED certification is also included in all of the awards presented through this provider. The following is a list of available Red Cross First Aid and / or CPR courses available:
- Standard first aid, CPR level “C” for health care providers (CPR HCP) and AED.
- Standard first aid, CPR level “C” and AED.
- Standard childcare first aid, CPR level “B” and AED.
- Emergency childcare first aid, CPR level “B” and AED.
- Emergency first aid, CPR level “C” and AED.
- Emergency first aid, CPR level “A” and AED.
- Only CPR level “C” for health care providers (Also known as CPR “HCP”) and AED.
- Only CPR level “C” and AED.
- Only CPR level “A” and AED.
- Babysitting first aid and CPR.
Certification:
All participants that successfully complete these courses will receive Red Cross certificates that meet Health Canada and government and legislative standards. Participants will receive a wallet sized certificate immediately upon completion of the course. Larger awards are also available for candidates that need “wall mount” awards. Just let the instructor know when receiving your award that your require a larger certificate. This certificate is valid for 3 years, however, participants may be required to renew certification at a earlier date if required by a employer. Some employers require that individuals renew CPR certification every year.
Re-Certification:
Kelowna first aid offer re-certification courses for participants that need to renew previously expired or expiring certificates. Check with the certification page to determine if re-certifications are available for your certificate. Re-certification courses are cheaper and shorter in length than the original course.
Registration:
At Kelowna First Aid we have a comfortable and secure on-line registration system. To register for a course select the course of your choosing from the main or side menu. That page will display more information about that course including date, time, course content and available CPR options. Participants will also be able to select a course based on date, location and time. Once participants select the course that meets their schedule they will be able to complete a secure on-line registration form and pay through credit, debit or PayPal to reserve a spot in the course.
