We proudly offer one-day emergency childcare first aid, CPR and AED training at our Kelowna training centre. This course is designed for individuals that need one day first aid, CPR and AED training and work in the childcare / daycare industry. This course is available three times per week and requires participants to attend for 8 hours. Participants will receive a training manual and participants that successfully complete the course will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years throughout British Columbia. Is CPR Training Included?
Yes, participants will receive CPR level “B” certification. Participants will learn CPR rescue techniques for victims of all ages.
Is AED Training Included?
Yes, AED training is included in the course. The use of automated external defibrillators is a mandatory component of all CPR programs.
What Will I Learn in the Course?
Participants registered in the course will learn about the following topics:
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
- AED usage
- Respiratory emergencies
- Circulatory emergencies
- Wound management
- Sudden medical emergencies
- Choking emergencies
- Fainting and shock
- Wound Care
- Personal Protective equipment including gloves and pocket masks
How Long is the Course?
The length of the course is 8 hours. 100% attendance is mandatory to successfully complete the course.
How Much Does the Course Cost?
The cost of the course is 89.99. Course fee includes taxes, manual and certification fees.
We offer private courses at our training facility or we can have an instructor sent to you. Complete the private course request form to receive a quote and to book a class.
Refunds are not accepted within 72 hours of the course. Transfers requested within 72 hours of the course will be charged $25.00. Prior to 72 hours of the course transfers and refunds are free of charge.
